BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine – State police say autopsies are scheduled on three members of the same family whose bodies were found inside two houses in the coastal Maine town of Boothbay Harbor.
Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, says police will await results from Sunday’s autopsies before releasing the names of the deceased and details on their deaths. He says the public isn’t in danger.
McCausland says the bodies are those of a man and woman in their 70s and a man in his 40s.
He says the houses where the bodies were found are about two miles apart. The discovery was made Saturday after someone called police requesting that they check on one of the properties.
